Terry Hanson gets his musical inspiration from a background that is as diverse as the artist himself. Growing up in Minneapolis, Minnesota Terry was immersed in the sounds of country music radio at a time when legends were being born. The voices of Merle Haggard, Buck Ownes, Waylon Jennings, Tammy Wynette and George Jones all played a large part influencing Terry as a songwriter and an outstanding performer. Additionally, it was the sound of his Mom’s Piano and Accordion playing that have been responsible for shaping him into the artist he is today.

Having moved to Southern California in the late 80’s Terry has been involved in the music, film and television industries as a songwriter, editor, videographer, producer and documentary filmmaker. Terry’s original songs have been heard in a variety of outdoor adventure films including a major credit the motion picture “Crimson Tide”. Terry has performed and toured over 20 countries around the world including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey, Italy, Spain and Panama with the Department of Defense and has opened for major acts such as Sheryl Crow.

Terry has most recently returned from a short stint in Australia and now resides in Los Angeles where you will find him working on his debut CD and performing with his band The Westerners.
