I was there as a guest of Merle Haggard and to set up a meeting with
him and Ralph Peer, Jr., who is the CEO of Peer Music. Ralph's dad
discovered Mr. Rodgers and the Carter Family back in 1927, and we
are working with Merle doing a documentary DVD on the life and
music of Jimmie Rodgers and a Dylan and Haggard Concert to be
announced...

Wow...as Jerry Lee Lewis sang and banged away on the piano Merle
Haggard, Keith Richards and Willie Nelson rocked on guitars and Kid
Rock was on top of the piano singing his heart out with the outlaws...

Ralph Peer Jr. is on Merle's bus with him talking about Jimmie
Rodgers and his dad back in the early days...

Nelson will saddle up another contingent of his "friends" to celebrate the U.S. Independence Day. The 71-year-
old artist's annual 4th of July Picnic will take place at Texas' Fort Worth Stockyards and feature Haggard,
Kris Kristofferson, Asleep At The Wheel, Los Lonely Boys, Ray Price and Leon Russell, among others.
